EDLD 5363 Week 5 Web Conference Reflection - December 10, 2011

This week's web conference addressed a number of different student concerns. It served as a checkpoint for where we needed to be in our PSA video production. Most students seemed to have distance issues as would be expected with an online course. It also gave guidelines as to what should be included in the final product, what was to be submitted, and how to submit it.

Pamela Comer was on hand to clarify what was to be submitted to TK20 and when. Students with issues of not having received an email from TK20 were told where to get help. Several students were extremely helpful in steering others in the right direction of how to develop the collaborative document needed to show a record of team meetings. Dr. Abernathy will post copies of collaborative documents previously submitted by other students as an example for those still confused.

Speaking of confusion... Week four was not supposed to require any submissions. A mix up with computer techs caused a posting requiring submissions, sending any number of students into a state of distress. All was made clear by Dr. Abernathy and a collective sigh of relief was heard as we all learned nothing was due.

I have had a completely enlightening experience working with my two teammates. I can work collaboratively, but I believe I may be a tad too demanding, well maybe not demanding, just nick-picky to the point of distraction. I believe I grew during this project with having to let go of some of the control. I believe my partners and I will accomplish what we are supposed to.
